BAPTISM is the "basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1213).

Baptisms are normally offered on Sundays at noon. Expecting parents must register with Holy Family Parish and meet with Deacon Vince Motto prior to the baptism. Deacon Motto will work with each family to ensure that the proper paperwork for godparents and/or Christian witnesses is completed and filed with the parish. You may download the Archdiocese of Hartford's "Baptism and/or Confirmation Godparent/Sponsor Affirmation form here. To schedule a baptism and meeting with Deacon Motto, please contact the parish office at 860-741-2101.
