RECONCILIATION

RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION) “Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1422).

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is celebrated as part of Holy Family Parish's religious education program for 2nd graders. Sacramental preparation takes place through weekly attendance at religious education classes. A parent meeting is also held and attendance is required in order to help prepare your child for this special sacrament. Parents who have not availed themselves of the sacrament are encouraged to return to the regular practice of confession to set a good example for their children.

The Sacrament of Confession is offered every Saturday from 4-5 p.m., and by appointment for all others.
